Outdoors and nature
A popular destination for bicyclists, rollerbladers, joggers and walkers is a network of trails and paths in Upper Newport Bay, also known as the Back Bay and is ringed by Back Bay Drive. Other trails include winding roads and mountain biking trains through Newport Coast and the San Joaquin Hills as well as Crystal Cove State Park.
Upper Newport Bay is also the home of the Ecological Reserve and Peter and Mary Muth Interpretive Center, for bird watchers and lovers of nature.
